Reliable, honest, punctual, and hardworking person wanted. Must be able to work Saturdays as part of schedule and must be able to lift objects weighing 25 lbs. The position assists with visitor services, exhibits, education, outreach, research, and overall maintenance of the museum.

Under the direction and supervision of the Museum Curator, manages the day-to-day activities and operations of the Wolters Museum; maintains records and promotes the heritage of the community. The curator assists with visitor services (including giving tours), exhibit creation, resetting, renovating, and refurbishing of antiques; education (including local genealogies); outreach (including grant writing); research (including basic computer skills and XL spreadsheets); and overall maintenance of the museum and grounds (including basic carpentry skills and painting/varnishing).  In-depth knowledge of Shiner and Lavaca County history, as well as High School diploma or equivalent required. The applicant must be flexible and understand that there are many other duties with this position not listed here.
